Digital Marketing Public Relations is one of courses that
consist in Marketing Communication major, speciality of Marketing Public
Relations. Nowadays, Digital Marketing is essential for public relations
practitioner. It helps public relations practitioner to do branding for their
client’s product through digital media. Digital media is so pervasive that
consumers have access to information any time and any place they want it.
People will easily to get about the information of products or services that
came from digital advertising.
Public Relations (PR) must facing a lot of problem,
especially in this era that things can be more complicated faster. So, it is
not just about promoting and digital media management but it could be also
about handling negative news. Therefore, digital media is so important to
support any kind of business. They support the core of the business and as you
know that years lately, there came up many company that basically use digital
stuff as main things in their business (such as e-commerce).
Not just do branding, public relations practitioner also
have to engage and maintain relationship with society through digital media. In
Digital Marketing, its associated channels are important to engage the society.
Not only know the society, but PR have to know the strategic communication that
most receptive to the message. Thus, PR must have good expectation about
society preferences across all channels, such as; web, social media, direct
mail, etc. So, the deeper insight into society preferences and behaviour, the
more likely PR easily engage them in suitable and interesting interactions
