The first step is identifying the target audience. Begin by
identify your current audience and determining why they chose your product or
service. The better you understand your audience, the better you can appeal to
their interests. Also, consider a research plan to help gather data relating to
demographics, purchase patterns, and why people purchase your product.
The second step is determining the communication objectives.
These objectives should be specific and measureable. You need objectives to
determine if the plan is effective. All communication efforts must to be
established in a vision for change.
The third step is design the message. Your marketing message
is what grabs your audience’s attention. In your message portray why they
should trust you and why they should choose you over your competitors. Appeal
to your prospect’s sensitives that trigger positive reactions.
The fourth step is choosing the media. It is important to
choose a media mix that fits your target audience. Select a media they spend
their time and attention at. With the increase in online marketing, there are
more ways to interconnect than ever before.
The last step is select the message source. There are two
types of sources. Source means the person involved in communicating a marketing
message, either directly or indirectly. The characteristics of the source
